submited by mobile3g in Misc

In close competition with designers and manufacturers from 57 countries, the one-hand compact Xperia™ X10 mini has been selected by an international jury to receive the 2010 red dot product design award.

Recognised as a quality seal for outstanding design, this award provides us with a label of the highest quality and international repute – characteristics guaranteed by the Design Zentrum in Essen, Germany, one of the oldest and most highly reputed design institutions in Europe. The international red dot design award, dating back to 1955, is the largest and most renowned design competition in the world. It is divided into three disciplines: the “red dot award: product design”, the “red dot award: communication design” and the “red dot award: design concept.”
