Google Remotely Deletes Android Apps from a user's phones.

Google this week removed two applications from its Android Market, and exercised a feature that lets the company remotely delete the apps from a user’s phones.

Google did not reveal the names of these apps, and said only that they were “two free applications built by a security researcher for research purposes.”

Samsung's Tablet: Galaxy Tape With 7-inch OLED Screen And Android 2.2 FroYo

Samsung is jumping into the tablet fray with a device powered by Google’s Android operating system. Samsung’s tablet called Galaxy Tape is expected to launch in September. The device has a 7-inch OLED screen, runs a 1.2 GHz processor, and includes 16 GB of internal memory that can be boosted to 48 GB, according to a Vietnamese site Tinhte. The Galaxy Tape–also known as Galaxy Tab–will weigh about 13 ounces and ship with the latest version of Android operating system, Android 2.2 ‘FroYo.’
